S.2 E.26 - How to Have an Attitude of Gratitude

As a child I always found it hard to find what I was thankful for - or they seemed to be trivial - you know, "I'm thankful for my toys, or that I got to have a down day from school (ha!)", but as an adult I am finding it's harder and harder to narrow down to five, let alone one thing I am most grateful for - God is SO good and as I mature and grow in my walk with Him I truly see something each and every day for which to give thanks - that alone I am grateful for.

One of the things I am grateful for this year - is you! It was one year ago this month that Holly's Highlights podcast launched. So much has happened within this first year of the podcast too. Holly's Highlights received "podcast of the month" on Podcastland during it's first month launched, has had 37 episodes published, thousands of downloads, 5 star rating on Apple podcasts, encouraging comments and feedback, and reaching sponsorship level - it is clear that God has been in this, and I am humbled and grateful to be apart of what He is doing in and through Holly's Highlights podcast. So thank you - listener, friend - for your support in making this happen.

So often we seem to expect blessings in life to come in a nicely wrapped package with a big giant bow on the top. But in reality our blessings come through our daily hardships, trials - and learning to have an attitude of gratitude - despite our circumstances or obstacles faced. Today we are going to dive into four ways we can adapt in having an attitude of gratitude.

1) We must look for it.

2) Write it down.

3) Share it.

4)Live it.

See, having an attitude of gratitude simply comes from being intentional in expressing our gratitude, or thankfulness, our appreciation in every part of our life. The good, the bad, the ugly. Often in life we are constantly chasing the next thing. Yet as it's been said before, "Don't forget how badly you once wanted what you have now." Sometimes in life we just get so busy wanting more or expecting for things to go differently, that we forget about what we already have - or the blessings that have come out of the altered path.

Don't miss out on your blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect. Today may we CHOOSE to have an attitude of gratitude. Happy THANKSgiving my friend.
